I tried the bosch had more chain rattleand oil pressure was alot less when warm. I had the same prob. with the mobil one. don't know why? but I put on a napa gold and no chain rattle and the oil pressure to 3/4 instead of 1/2. would love to find out why.

I have been using Mobil 1 filters for over three years with no chain rattle. In view of Marc's article I may try the Bosch the next time I change oil.

Was using Mobile, actually purchased a case of them If anyone wants to buy them I'll sell them cheap. Pm me. The reason for the change is poor performance

I do not want to influence the poll but I must ask this question. For those of you using the Mobil 1 filter that are not having any chain rattle, why would you want to switch to Bosch?
Granted I also read the article by Marc, and while I respect his knowledge and advice, I have used a Mobil 1 without any problems. As I recall it was rated as one of the best for filtration with it's synthetic media. ![]() |
