hi there

I had my chip reprogrammed by Geoff in the UK when installing his headers and carbon air intake. The car has no other engine or transmission mods and it has surprised many many corvette owners so far here, in terms of added performance.

I have several different chips. One by Z-Industries, the first chip I put in and it seemed pretty good. Later dyno tuned 2 chips by Marc Randolph, one for street gas and one for race gas. Learned that the Z-Industries chip threw tons of advance in and was really a little too much. MR chip was spectacular and the chip I used most was the race gas chip. That was the chip that took most of one day on the dyno. It was also the chip that was in the car when it ran 200+ mph. I still have all three chips and a stock chip.

What happened to #364 Curtis? Was it quite the surprise to go over the 200 mark for you? What other mods did you have to get it there? TIA for the answers I'm sure others here will be interested to hear the details also!

If you can do a nice little write up and a pic of the ZR-1 I would like to include it on my tribute site for the ZR-1 see my car domain web site link in my sig. Scroll to the bottom on the 1st page to see where I would put it! Don't miss p4 as well!

Hi Brian,

#364 died at BG in May 2002. I let a friend drive it at the autocross and he hit the concrete wall at about 45 mph. The story about #364 is pretty well known on the list. In April 2002, I was clocked on Radar at BBORR at 201 mph. If you want pictures and story, please email me at curtis.ward@gmail.com and I will email you back.

I am looking for a new chip for my 90 that solves the shift problem and improves performance in an otherwise stock LT5. Any suggestions?

As you can see by the poll most people have gone with either a Marc Haibeck or DRM chip, though most would recommend Marc. You do not live all that far from Aaron at SGC so you might want to give him a call for your tuning needs.

Sent SGC an email and talked to Aaron on the phone. He asked me to call back on Monday a week ago and got an answering machine. He never returned my call so I guess he is to busy to help so I will look elsewhere. Thanks. Do you have a web site or phone number of the other 2 so I can just call or email and order a chip?
