Excuse my ignorance on this. I thought the cams and heads were a matched package? How can they be exchanged?

Cam covers and heads are a matched package for the bearing surfaces

Cams can be replaced just like a SBC Chevy, you can reuse cam bearings yet swap cams

Thanks for the explanation - obviously I didn't know that. That makes sense of a few things I've seen for sale and thought "how can they do that?"

Dave J and myself have the same cam specs as what Lgaff is providing. I've documented the dyno results of this ported top end/heads/cam combination
over stock cams and heads. Go to this thread:

You're looking at 30rwhp. The curve profiles remain the same, just more area under the curve.
