Default This weekend's Criuze Ins >>>

Beautiful weather both days and the cars came out...the Great Falls gathering might be the biggest yet. This pic shows about 1/2 of the cars since the other parking areas are at the end and around the corner>>

The Fair Lakes gathering is newer venue and was much smaller in numbers but still nice rides... First to Phil aka 'House of Wheels'...his new wheel and tire set up>>

I brought my C6 and a Shelby Mustang parked next to it...the Stang is big compared to a Vette

In total about 8 Vettes were there>>

Michael,

Great pictures and that looks like a real EVENT....

Heard there was a new Lexus (the $300,000 one).

Have to make that again, it seems to get better and better!

Yes...come by the event particularly if the weather is nice... a Lexus FLA did cruise in and... well lets say it was of no interest to me. Not much I can say about it other than huge $$$ for a Lexus...lot of other cars are more to my liking.

I also heard there was an LF-A there. I'd sure liked to have seen it, if only because what are the odds I'll ever see one again? It's an interesting car in spite of the badge on the hood. Carbon fiber construction, 9,000 RPM V10, carbon brakes... And they are bespoke cars.

Inside looked more like a space capsule than a car.
I agree Bob, this probably was the first and the last time I would ever see one in person. It is not a pretty car (for my taste) but beatifully built.

Hi Ricky,
The front wheels are 10"x18" 58mm offset Fikse Profil 10s with 285/40ZR18 Michelin Pilots and the rears are 12" x 19" 38mm offset with 345/30ZR19 Michelin Pilots. At 27.2" tall and 13.6 section width the 345 Pilots completely fill out the rear wheel wells of a ZR-1. Had to trim the lower rear edge of wheel well liner a little to prevent rubbing on the inner sidewalls when going over bumps and cornering. I must admit sidewalls of the 285/40 front tires are just a little to tall for my taste. I plan to replace them with a shorter profile 285/35 tire when I get some time to turn out a set of ABS reluctor wheels for the rear spindles with 49 teeth count to compensate for the 4.5% difference in front and rear tire circumferences. Otherwise the difference is enough to confuse the ASR and ABS systems and trigger the alarm lights. Here are a couple of shots of the stern view.

Nice job my freind, you can help pave the highways with those big steam rollers on the back (look great) I agree, the front sidewalls look a little thick. After Carlisle we will have to hook up and do a gear change in my car
