1990-1991 Brass Key chain
Does anyone have an extra brass Key Chain from the '90-'91 Owners Kit you would be willing to part with? If so, how much?

Re: 1990-1991 Brass Key chain
15 years ago when I bought one from Mid America, it was like $10. At the time I didn't realize it was a part of the ZR-1 owner's kit, I just liked that it was two-piece and said "ZR-1". (I had an '87 L98, but would have loved to have had a ZR-1)
I could see one being worth 2-3 times that at this point, but there's no way in hell I would buy one for $125. Also, be aware that if you use it, it will dull: Also pictured there is the only (as far as I know) GM key that has a model logo on it vs a brand logo...

Re: 1990-1991 Brass Key chain
Obviously this is not the real one, but this isn't bad looking and is a good price. 99% of people wouldn't know or care that it's not original. If you were going to use it for the valet key, I'd think it would work fine:
http://shop.corvettecentral.com/Corv...-p8767410.html Kind of funny they even make it. Not only does the ZR1 not have a valet key, it doesn't even have an ignition key. You don't need a keychain at all, let alone a two-piece one.

About $60 to $75 is fair market value. With this in mind I have seen them go higher. Supply and Demand. Go figure

It's bizarre how the actual cars themselves are getting disgustingly cheap, while the stuff like this gets disgustingly expensive.

Re: 1990-1991 Brass Key chain
Well, I was stuck on a conference call right before the ebay auction was over, so i didnt' get a cahnce to bid on it. Looks like it went to the one and only bidder at $50.
I'm still looking for one if anyone wants to part with theirs. |

Re: 1990-1991 Brass Key chain
Because of how it dulled (there were some spots that were flatter than others), I had always assumed it had some coating on it. But I tried some metal polish and you are right, it shined up great.
