It appears as if the 6.0 cop setup is going to be the best bet for these cars, I have also decided to leave the stock ecm in place for all "non-essentials" (read a/c, guage cluster, etc), as well as run two ait sensors (threaded type so as not to be blown out under boost) one to the stock ecm, one to the haltech. I will just create a jumper harness for this. It is going to take some running and gunning, but I am shooting for having this thing up and running on the haltech by the end of this month with a little luck. My plan of attack is; Dyno the car tomorrow for baseline. Install headers Dyno the car again (paying attention to the afr obviously) Install Haltech Dyno tune with haltech ecm Street test (drive a few thousand miles) to test durability and reliability. Fabricate and install tt kit dyno tune for max reliable hp on "stock" engine. I am really leaning towards Meth/Water injection for my application. I really wanted to tune for e-85, but it is still scarce, and I like to drive my cars across country. I will let everyone know when the project starts. I have to take my Oregon Contractor license test on Thursday, and finish my supra on Friday. I will squeeze in the baseline, then it is off to the races on Saturday, tearing into the corvette. |
