Replacing Injectors Soon
So, I ordered a new set of injectors from FIC...not the rebuilt Bosch set but a brand new set of delcos I think that are not a wet coil design. These are supposed to be flow matched and brand new and ethanol safe.
The reason I am going to do this is because the car has slight mis or stumble at idle and new spark plugs didn't fix it. I also know the ethanol in today's fuel will eventually kill them all. I went with the NGK Iridium plugs. My questions are as follows: Do I need new o-rings or something to install with the new injectors? What do I need in order to test the secondary vacuum system while the plenum is off? Should I replace the coils? I have already had one replaced at Corey's shop when I had it over for the gathering in New Braunsfels in 2008; because it died and left me stranded. I think Kurt white sells all the under the plenum stuff. I just want to get it all running right and then take it back to Corey for a dyno tune. Also, I a FNG when it comes to the plenum pull, so I will be soliciting some help from a crazy local with a red 90 here in town. Last edited by USAFPILOT; 12-18-2009 at 02:22 PM. |
