secondchance Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: McLean, VA Posts: 3,723	Alternator Rebuild I have an old GM alternator (out of 94 ZR-1) that failed 3 years ago. I am thinking about rebuilding this unit myself. It seems there were 105 and 120 amp versions. Any way to verify which version? Is the casing the same? Has anyone tried this? Any pit falls or advice?
