Default Clutch order today: chk me out...

After reading all the clutch stuff of late, I think I understand the key points. So, it looks like I'm going to go with (Valeo) Duralast kit fm AutoZone with their lifetime warranty. So, check me out here:

I'll order the kit for the 93-95 ZR-1s, in hopes of finding one with the proper PP height to allow use of my stock bolts. (Yep, I realize the TO bearing is different and I'll need to have the '90 style bearing.)

Failing that, and I wind up with the LTx unit and shorter PP height, I need to trot over to GM and buy a set of LT1/4 PP bolts.

OR...use my stock PP, but check the cupping of the ring, and if there is more than .015 from outside to inside edge, then I need to go slow until the new disc breaks in a bit (running the risk of glazing the new disc and having to start over (Marc says he's BTDT.)

I hate making mistakes - nuff of that to go around this summer as it was! But, have I made the correct assumptions here (before I buy a clutch kit?)

TIA,

P.

PS: Lemme ask a stoooopid question: Would it not be possible to put a spacer under the stock ZR-1 bolt heads to make up the length difference of the LTx PP? I'm sure there is a substantiated reason this hasn't been discussed before now (that I know of).

P.
