Automotive Performance International, Inc. Cold Air Intake?

For those of you that have been around the Z and Corvettes for a long time. My Z came with an air intake that appears to be a CAI manufactured by Automotive Performance International, Inc.

Does anyone have knowledge about this intake or company? I can't find information on it, but I did find a company with this name that appears to not exist any longer and maybe was in existence for only a few years (company started in 1990). I recently replaced the stock cover with an open cover and starting to wonder if this is a rare CAI intake.
