Subfixer's Submarine ZR1
Had a wicked storm at work just before quitting time. Drove through not one, but two hugely flooded roads. Water was coming over the hood and into the cowl vents. Water was coming out the AC vents and dripping on my feet from under the dash.
Car kept running like nothing happened. I was extremely fortunate that I didn't hydrolock the engine. About halfway home on my 60 mile commute, the Climate Control went bonkers. Kept switching fan speeds, turning the rear defog on & off, then it just quit. AC remained on, Front defrost, fans at high speed. Controls unresponsive, but Fan Auto lamp was lit and rear defrost lamp was blinking. Made it home without any other issues. Once home, car would not restart. Nothing, no starter click at all. After sitting a few hours, I went out to try again. Car started right up, all Climate controls working again. Everything working. This Submarine ZR1 is always surprising me. This is one tough car!
