Default Bilstein FX3 good news... I think

For reasons that escape me at the moment I found myself on the Bilstein website yesterday and noticed that they prominently advertise their rebuilding service out of their Poway, CA facility. Like many, it was my understanding that the OEM FX3 damper rebuilding service and revalving had been discontinued. I used the contact element on the site and asked if there had been any change in status for OEM FX3 dampers. To my surprise I received a reply today stating that the service was indeed available. So I pressed them with a second email to confirm that rebuilding was possible. I received a second email back confirming it was possible with only one caveat, that the strut rod was not rebuildable or available should it be needed but that all else can be done. As I read it even revalving can be done.

For clarification I am attaching the emails below. My shocks are good but I’d be interested if anyone has any luck with this. I know there were a few that have been looking.
