Default You too can afford a Lamborghini

I was at a local salvage yard today and noted that there was a chrome yellow Lambo Gallardo sitting under about 6 inches of snow, apparently undamaged. I spoke to the yard manager, apparently a guy went into a local Lamborghini dealer here and inquired about buying it. They went to run his credit, he stopped them and asked them not to(run a credit report) as another dealer he was at just ran it(numerous credit searches also lowers your score) They complied and reviewed his copy of his credit report. The report indicated he made 15-20k per month, they agreed to a price and he left with that car and a Mercedes. Amazingly enough(duh), the report was bogus and the guy was arrested either several weeks or days later, didn't ask specifics. Better yet, upon being recovered they found out the engine had no oil left in it! No one started it, so they were not sure if there was damage or not.

I took a pic on my cell phone, but can't get it to e-mail to my Yahoo account. I cannot believe a Lambo dealer won't insist on a credit check on a $200K car. I am sure there is more to the story, but this is all the yard manager got, car is in impound by the county due to pending credit fraud charges.

Will load pics if I can. This yard also has a Ferrari F355 on hold that is in three pieces, driver killed.
