Add to the fact that only 6900 were built and the engine was basically hand crafted to which there was nothing like it at the time. No doubt the C7 Z06 is a monster and will walk on just about anything on the road you encounter.....but with damn near every cookie cutter car on the road today pushing tons of horsepower, today's cars just don't feel "special" if you get what I'm saying. There's just something special and nostalgic about "super cars" from the 80's and 90's that cars today just can't capture...and they probably never will again. For me it's about quality over quantity. It's the same reason I'd rather have a Porsche 930, 964 or 993 over a brand new 911 turbo. Of course a new 911 turbo would absolutely destroy any 911 made from the 80's and 90's, but a new 911 turbo will never reach that special place with me ![]() |
