Default Slave Cylinder Replacement/Repair

It looks like the slave cylinder in my 1995 failed. I think that the article written in Issue #48 was very helpful. I have already ordered the slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder. A few questions:
- The Hydraulic line from Corvette Central (part #534246) is listed as the "Clutch Cylinder hose and pipe assembly" which I would assume is correct. However, the part is also shown as being for an 86-88 Corvette. Is this right?
- And given that the part is well over $100 (and the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder were together about $60), is this something I need? Can I use the old one?
- Can I make the repair without jacking the rear?
- Probably more questions as I proceed (which will likely have to wait for March given that my garage is not heated)

Thanks.
