I wasn't that horrified from that mouse gnawing shown in the link. Set of plug wires and rubber hose- a good used turnsignal/marker light harness (or just shrink tube repair it). Throw a c-note for parts and your own labor...fixed.

of course the under plenum condition might be interesting.
