Proud New owner of #412 '95 ZR1
First I'd like to introduce myself, I've been a Corvette owner, and member of the corvette forum for many many years and currently have a '57, '58, '66, '72, '93, '94, '95 in various stages from finished complete cars to bare projects. After years of lusting after the king of the hill one fell in my lap in my home town...
Bought a not so pristine '95 Z with 105k miles on the clock and some pretty good bruises, that had not been started in about 8 years. Had to buy it and a '93 coupe that had not ran in 5-6 years. Both cars are running the '93 is running perfect, the Z is still stumbling a little bit. I bought some carbon fiber race car parts that Jeff Nowicki fabricated back in the early '90's when he was running the World Challenge series, the body panels were still on the car when Jim Van Dorn and Kim Baker formed Pirate Racing and re-skinned the car in its final form as it sits in the museum. Plans for the car include installing the carbon body parts, and either taking the car to DRM or Marc Heibeck to squeeze an extra 100 hp out of the car and go through the engine to make certain there are not any issues. Color will be changed to Admiral Blue with Grand Sport black/red style interior. I'll try to post some pics of the car and parts, just wanted to drop in and say hi, proud to finally be a member of the Z club! |
