Recommend a route - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

After Bloomington Gold, we’re heading to the Museum. My wife and I will then be driving from Bowling Green, KY to the Claw of the Dragon (Wytheville, VA), before heading home to Wisconsin.

Is there a good route other than the interstate system? (Cumberland parkway, perhaps?)

Or, should we take the interstate to something “interesting” nearby and spend some time exploring? I know you MR folks have experience in this region.

And, which of the loops around the Claw would you recommend as we won’t have time to drive all of them?
