Clutch Hydraulic Fluid - Valvoline OK
Well folks, I just talked with the ZFDoc, Bill Boudreau today, and he told me we can use Valvoline FULL Synthetic, Dot 3/Dot 4 brake fluid for the clutch bleeding. He has used it extensively and has had no problems with it. He made sure to point out the bleeder valve needs to be wrapped 7 or 8 ties with teflon tape prior to commencing the bleeding process. This is great news as I was having problems finding the right stuff from GM, and when i did it was $12.00 a pint. Valvoline at CSK was just over $7 a Quart.
I am doing this very soon. 70k on the car and don't know when it was last done (if ever). He recommends a Phoenis Brake bleeder, which I already have.
