There were no visual issues upon inspection of the pumps. They sit in fuel all the time and had little use. They were bound to go out sooner or later.

The kit comes with a strainer and various parts. I did not have to use
the pigtail adapter. They plugged right in.
Cost was $23 ea plus shipping. (I'd replace both while in there)
