I am asking $15,750 for this car as it sits.
Really looking to Sell my 1990 ZR-1 Black on black (originally) It became Black on Red, As it sits it's a project. The car is in Primer and is torn down check pics. I will sell it now if anyone comes up with the cash. I have some other cars I am trying to avoid selling at the moment, I need the money for another Project So My ZR-1 is up for grabs at the moment. This car had a lot of work done on it back in 1999 at Doug Rippie Motorsports (DRM) I bought this flood damaged car back in 2005 shortly after it was flooded. The owner had sent it to DRM Right after the flood in the hopes of rescuing it. or rescuing his drivetrain at least DRM drained and flushed all fluids, They replaced major engine electical components like the DIS module and ECM. WHen I got it I tore it down to the shell (see photos) and cleaned everything, Did my own checks on it Tore down the engine to make sure it was good and put it all back together, I then used it as a daily driver for almost 5 years. It suffered from Factory Paint failure, The factory paint job peeled off (I have photographic proof its the factory job I have been in the process of repainting the car and it is now in Primer. I can finish the paint job on it if you like. Doug rippie Motorsports 500 engine package putting 419 at the wheels. Second gear tends to grind. I have new gears and syncro's for it if you want to purchase them as well. Flow master exhaust and I changed the Interior from the original Black to Red from another 1990 ZR-1. Stereo doesn't work its out of a donor car speakers too. Just never had them fixed. comes with one clear top (has a crack) I have a solid top from another ZR-1 that I will include but it needs work. I have a Clean Michigan title in hand it has never been branded the guy I bought it from told me it had been flooded I new it but the title was clear, I titled it in NC and when I moved to Michigan I titled it here. I saw the Carfax report listed a total loss Flood damage in 2013 I just happened to check it for the hell of it on NISB so I have not washed the title I have a clean title and Car fax says it was a total loss. It might have been that way but I never did anything to the title. Just to be clear. So buyer know that that's what it says. 1990 Vin #845 I have paperwork back to the original owner he lived a couple streets from Pebble Beach golf course, but No pizza box. The engine received a rebuild at 65,500 miles at DRM with the ZR-1 top end package with Cosworth pistons for $13,500, and a separate charge for New connecting rods $400 That one invoice was $15,300. There are plenty more as well Some highlights re-valved shocks, DRM Fx3 controler, 4:10 gears, Rippie shifter, suspension upgrades and more. It has Watson Headers and flowmaster cat back. I Removed the secondaries and backfires, got the chip from Haibeck automotive at the tune of $500. I also have replaced the water pump back in 2010, ECM in 2013 and all fuel injectors back in 2005 ish. This car is Fast I love it but with the values where they are and this one having the history It will never be worth as much as a untainted one. But it is worth my price in parts. This is one you could go crazy with or Part it out, maybe drive it forever. The Flood issues are taken car of. It just needs paint and put back together. all of the Misc hardware around the engine compartment should be sent out for recoating, I cleaned everything and then painted it. The painted nuts and bolts didn't protect the metal so a lot has corrosion, I used to live near the ocean and im sure salt spray got to my car. and michigan is high in humidity. I cleaned this car from Top to bottom inside and out when I handled what the flood did to it.
