Forgive me if you already found this link and/or it's been posted before. But if you are looking to fix your gm steering wheel yourself..go to this site! It is 69 pages PDF and so it takes a bit of time to load..but well worth it.
This should be credited with "JAZZMAN" over at Pennock's Fiero forum. I don't know his real name. http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...ck_Rebuild.pdf I just jumped in head first to my steering column knowing that if/when I got stuck, there'd be plenty info on youtube or the web. My turn signal was not engaging in the right hand direction but the switch itself was okay. Turned out that the routing of the wires were interfering with the engagement. Anyway, I decided to delve deeper into the column because it was already out of the car and check my pins, bolts, bearings etc deep inside the column. Inevitably I got in over my head and researched the internet. This site was extemely helpful with a cutaway of a gm steering wheel very similar to our own with some minor variations (no airbag for one). So out of all the very helpful sites, this one (though not a video) is THE BEST! Now, he says not to reproduce in whole or in part without his permission, and I don't know too much about internet etiquette protocol, so I will just post the link. ![]() Upon checking that other site' name for "jazzman", I found it was there and also a link to another very good writeup here: http://ls1tech.com/forums/general-ma...oval-pics.html between the two, you should be able to get your degree in Saginaw Steering Column Dis/Reassembly
