HYDROBOOST POWER BRAKE SYSTEMS.

I bought my Turquoise car new. It was originally a Chevrolet Show Car. It now has 254,000 adventurous miles on it. Since it will never be a "showroom stock" car with high value. I have decided to address some of the issues not addressed here before.
The "idea" behind the secondary port system was to use a short duration cam for high vacuum and smooth idle reasons. When you commanded it, the secondaries would open to a longer duration cam profile
The factories have always had their hands tied with big cams and vacuum for power brakes. That was why Chevy did NOT want to sell the L88 to the public. NO vacuum to work the power brake in traffic.
Having looked at the computer wiring mess hanging over the vacuum booster, and with my secondaries blocked open, the booster just needs to go away.
With the installation of a HYDROBOOST (which is my business) I can use a common 1 inch master, eliminating the expense of replacing the PBR Australian master, which is only 7/8". The HYDROBOOST runs off of the p/s pump, and no vacuum is used.
HOWEVER, with the Hydroboost, I can move the battery to the rear, remove the vacuum booster completely, remount the computer where the battery was, and route the monster computer harness UNDER the Hydroboost. This will be a HUGE cleanup of the engine compartment. I plan to powdercoat the booster, and then all the aluminum engine pieces in a metallic silver color, instead of polished.
