LINGENFELTER 1990 C4 CORVETTE Convertible 400 CID 570 HP
- 570 Horsepower @ 7,000 RPM - 400 CID 11:1 compression - 93 Octane - 6 Speed Manual Transmission Featured in Vette Magazine July 1993 where John Lingenfelter ran the car at Beach Bend Dragway where it produced a high 10 sec 1/4 mile @ 126 MPH with slicks GM Bow Tie Aluminum Block GM Splayed Valve Cylinder Heads Lingenfelter custom solid roller camshaft Lingenfelter fabricated aluminum EFI intake manifold 58 mm billet throttle body Lingenfelter custom fabricated headers & Borla exhaust 3.90 rear differential ZR1 8,000 RPM tach 27545ZR17 31535ZR17 Goodyear GSC Tires 22,000 miles only driven in summer months Bose CD radio, leather seats, power drivers seat, engine oil cooler Fiberglass front and rear bumper covers and body color side moldings replaced Interior color changed to 1993 light tan (original saddle) with all new GM parts in 1993 Asking Price: $20,000 So this engine makes 570hp at a fun 7000rpm and has run high tens on slicks. It has $3000 worth of bare heads with minor machining rough as cast 240cc ports,as cats 45cc chambers, plus valves, headwork etc. I have seen 1 flow chart with over 400cfm on the intakes, but would depend largely in the porting done, but I cant see Lingenfelter doing poor portwork. $5000 worth of block At least $1500 crank $1000 headers $1000 in the shaft mounted roller rockers The ECM tune should be decent from Lingenfelters as well. They are asking $20,000. Sure would be a fun car to drive, being able to use ALL of that ZR-1 tach thats installed. What do you guys think? Anyone know this car? Any advice, comments or plains BS'ing is happily welcome. I could get into a decent ZR-1 for $20,000, but certainly not a ZR-1 with 22,000miles. Grrrr, wheres my winning lottery ticket lol. peace Hog |
