I just looked at the DRM line package and the difference with DRM and the others is the DRM is NOT orientated to the rail on the caliper but just uses an adapter to take their lines to the fitting in the caliper. It does NOT use a banjo. I think I'd prefer the banjo but does it make a difference? Don't know.
The DRM fittings tighten to the caliper using a crush gasket like the banjo's, so once they are installed to the caliper, the lines can be removed and reinstalled from the fitting/caliper with no seals needed cause they are flared AN style. The lines can be capped so the resevoir doesn't gravity empty with an AN plug if the calipers have to come off for maint. (but those orange ear plugs worked somtimes with the banjo's)

As you mentioned, they're not orientated like the banjo's. So they do need to be tightened with no twist.
