About 6 weeks ago I got my policy renewal for Hagerty and see that the policy has gone up about $150.I call and the excuse I was givin was Ca has changed its INS standards ...................or could it be Hagerty is trying to recoup some of the money paid on claims from the Russo-Steel auction massacre that happened a few years ago?Regardless,Hagerty wont budge on the policy increase so I start shopping.I decided on Grundy and started the paper work,or should I say tried to start the paper work.It took 3 weeks just to get the application.I fill it out,send full payment and hear nothing.From the beginning Im telling these people I need this policy in effect by 1-1-13.I call once a week only to be told the approval is pending.So I call this morning only to be told the same thing.I say forget it,void the application,send back the check and dont waste anymore of my time.I talked to an insurance person today and was told that theyve heard alot of complaints about Grundy from policy holders.One of the reasons Grundy was recently sold to another business,out of the country,and they must be going through teething problems.What kind of teething problems would one expect from an established company thats been around since 1947?How much you want to bet Grundy cashes my check and I got to fight these morons to get a refund?Anybody thats got Grundy,you might want to go shopping.
