As a note, when I was trying to pass CA emissions most recommendations were to do full throttle time to get the cats hot and burn out deposits. I found that if you don,t have an effective oil catch can installed the high rpm time forced oil into the intake plenum which will kill CO emissions. After installation of an oil catch can that works - no oil in the plenum.
