I've never understood the balancing act between the crank and the piston/rods. For example: Changing to lighter piston/rod configuration does what to the crank/piston-rod balance? Showing my ignorance (again) I always thought the counter balances on the crank considered the piston-rod weights too, and changing the piston-rod weight would upset the balance...NO?
