Intermittent digital display in the dash - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

i have a 93 ZR-1 with a digital display that seems to be on the fritz. no speedo or fuel gauge when this happens.

not sure what could be causing this. has anyone seen or heard of this happening? it seems to work fine for a several days and then it will stop working for a day or more and then will come back for several days. the rate at which it comes and goes seems far to spead out to be an electrical short. all the fuses are good...
