A lot of that will be determined due to the extent of the injury if the bone had to be denuded etc. This is very common in wood working and referred to as an offhand injury in the safety world. While working with your "power" or dominant hand you forget where your other hand is during the placement of it for support. It happens every day and technology is trying to help. I could not believe how close the hot dog came to the blade and how quickly that blade snapped down....damn...every one should have that.
