Once I get the cover off the TB cables, I rotate the "half moon" cable spools on the TB to WOT and wedge a small screwdriver handle under them. You'll see what/where I mean, next time you're "in there". I would think a piece of a 3/4" wooden doll would work too. Sure makes that little process a LOT easier - not having to fight the spring tension while trying to faniggle the cables out of their sockets. P.
