Stock Wheel Refinishing
On my 1990 I have some streaks ect. that look like something ran down the wheels and screwed up the finish. Has anyone found an easy way to refinish their wheels? Will a good paint stripper take the clear coat off so I can reshoot them with automotive clearcoat? I really don't want to have them blasted because I would have to polish them again before coating them. Also will they stay shiny after reshooting them with clearcoat as long as they are clean when I when I reshoot them? I know from experience stripper did not touch the clearcoat on my fork tubes on my bikes which is why I'm asking. I don't want to waste the money on stripper if I need to have them blasted. Thanks guys I love the registry site, lots of info and helpful guys here!
