Pretty cool intake, it costs $7-8000US.

The externally mounted crank trigger is kind of archaeic, I personally would look into a 4x L29 or 24x L21 crank reluctor that fits under a stock L21/29 front timing cover and is read by the stock crank position sensor.

I would use a GM 411 PCM(01-03 Vette/01-02 F-body and trucks) with 8 CNP coils with an LS1 Vette or L21 454 truck calibration for ETC, or the same PCm with a 1998-02 LS1 calibration if using a cable driven t-body.

FYI L29 454 was used in the 1996-2000 GM trucks and used an electronic distributer, 1998-2000 L21 replaced the old 427 truck BBC in the Medium durty trucks/motorhomes and P30 vans. L21 was a 454 that used CNP ignition and ETC, it was the 1st truck engine from GM to use ETC and CNP and was the precursor to GM's L18 496 (8.1) GEN VII BBC which also used CNP.
L21 and L29 were pretty much the same engine, same heads and cams, but the L21 is rumoured to use a forged crank/pistons where the L29 used in the 3/4 ton and 1 ton applications used the nodular iron crank and hypereutectic pistons.

Nelson makes some cool stuff, I'm waiting for the final videos of his DOHC stuff aka his LT5/Northstar stuff.

peace

That intake is pretty friggen awesome, an LT-5 version would be beyond awesome - although I'm guessing the price tag would be ugly.

I suspect their choice of a 572 big block wasn't a random selection. Not sure a manifold like that does anything for a 5.7L motor.

Do a Google search for EFI Connection. They make crank reluctor wheel to adapt TPI or LT1 motors to LS1 coil on plug ignition. The front cover hardware, engine wiring harness, PCM and coils go for roughly $1500. I'm considering this for my 88' Trans Am since you can use HPTuners or EFI Live for tuning plus you get a better ignition system to boot.

Yes I know about EFIConnection, they simply took a GM L21 BBC 24x reluctor and made it fit the SBC. To make all these parts work the GM 512kb dual 80pin connectered PCM's are needed. You can use any tuning system that will tune a :S1/LS6 vette or LS1 F-body. I use Tunercats 2 with unlimited licensing.
