Final touch

Roof panel trim piece arrived a couple of days ago. So, opened up the package and noticed 2 scuffed areas. Light sanding and dusted w/ Duplicolor satin black "trim" paint - a perfect match.
I brought the top into my living room and taped the edge, put 2x4 against the edge and started tapping with a hammer. While doing this I inadvertantly pushed a small table with 2 large wrought iron candle holder and these started to fall! I blocked it with my shoulder and head.
One of the holder hit my head and wife goes "it hit your head are you ok?".
I go "thank god it hit my head and not the shiny new top!".
Well, got the new trim on successfully with no damage - at least no damage to the top.

Back in 93 when I lived in Orlando I got too wild and slammed my 91 Z side ways into a highway light pole (I-4 exit 50 ramp for those who are familiar w/ Lake Mary/Heathrow area).
It took Roger's Corvette (back then Tim worked for Roger) 3 months and $35000 to repair the car since Progressive wouldn't total the car. I broke my left collar bone but all I had to do was wear a collar sock and the bone healed by itself and before the car came back home - need I say more?

Later Roger says to me "this car is too much for you". I looked back at him with a grin - "No. I am too much for this car!".

I put the filler on your console piece.
Once dry, 1000 grit wet sanding and time to spray. Duplicolor trim satin black is too black and too shiny. I got to pick up a can of Badger airbrush propellant and use satin black toned down with grey primer - flatter and less black.
