I have the same thing happen to me on my way back from BG. I had to pull the code from the CCM and it was a code 9 which was low freon. When the system is low on freon, the compressor is shut down. I had to pull the neg battery cable to reset the code and added my last can of freon, its better, but needs more. I need to take mine in to get another can added. Rich

Re: Air conditioner
To add freon, you hook a can of it up to the low-pressure side and turn the A/C on. It helps a lot to dunk the can in a bucket of water, or even wrap a wet towel around it, because it cools down very quickly which lowers the can pressure, and it will take forever to transfer the freon from the can to the system.
However, you may want to troubleshoot before just adding freon, to make sure that is the problem. Pressure gauges will tell you if the pressure is in the ballpark of full, and if it's enough that the compressor should cycle on. Then you can see if the compressor actually cycles on when the A/C is turned on.

Re: Air conditioner
Are you installing R-12 or converting to R-134a? Either way there are challenges. Any notes on your experience will be appriciated. RPO ZR1. Maryland

Re: Air conditioner
Hi Paul, welcome to the ZR-1 Net Registry. I replaced the compressor in my 1993 ZR-1 two years ago and maintained the R-12 system. No problems until last week when it started blowing the fuse for the AC compressor clutch.
