Default Bumper Cover

Quick Question for my bruthas

I've been living with cracked paint on the drivers side front bumper cover for years and am now ready to fix it. I went to a body shop I trust and they recommended that I replace the cover and then paint instead of trying to fix the cracks and fill etc. I agree with that, my question is what cover do you guys recommend. There's a big difference in prices 799 to 320 and materials. GM direct has a cover for $320 and I'm inclined to go with but I'm willing to pay for a better product too.

So what do you guys think?

Thanks

Rick

I dont know what the new part is,maybe aftermarket but Id go with an original OEM part any day over new aftermarket. If it were me I look for a really nice used bumper with one coat of paint. Then Id have it soda blasted down to the bare surface and go from there.Thats just me but I have a way of going to extremes when it comes to wasting money.

Thanks for the reply. I've been wondering about that too. I might try calling around seeing what a used cover will cost.

Thanks :-)

If you not worried about weight. Go the the OEM one.
