Morning Tom,

I havent chkd the dig. display coolant/oil temp when running. but basically the gauges when driving in traffic w/ outside temp of 95':
oil- the needle sits just past the 100' mark, like if you added two more zero's the coolant- about and 1/8 past center mark. I really need to ck the display for real readings. last week it was 98 outside and the temps were another 1/8 higher than just described and took a good 10 miles at 65mph on toll way to come down. from all the responses the Fix is going to be that stat, remove the rad and clean out everything. then the prom.
man i cant wait to get all this new iisue stuff done so I can get the tune,prom ect........

What did you use for the screen? Is it a homemade jobber?
I want to put something there just not sure what's appropriate.
I pulled sheets of paper and a plastice bag that was stuck to the condenser.

The last one I made for a friend I used plastic gutter guard, it was semi-rigid plastic leaf screen I got at home depot, after cutting it to size to fit the opening I wrapped it in plain old fiberglass replacement screen material, the stuff that comes in small rolls at HD or the hardware store. I used the clips that came with the gutter guard to hold the two pieces together, those clips are to hold it to the edge of the gutter. I know this sounds kind of dumb, but no one can see it when it's installed unless they get down on the ground. I suppose you could just string the fiberglass screen material over the opening, but the gutter guard gives it the ability to hold shape and resist an impact from more solid things other than paper & leafs. I used the bolts for the center section of the air dam and that air splitter and it's support bracket to anchor my contraption on the bottom side. The top side I can't remember how I anchored it ( senile I guess). I remember using the splitter's upper bracket, maybe? Trust me, when you look at the situation and the link, you will see how it goes. No sweat to it, just some time.

Your gauge readings seem to me to be normal with a chip with the better fan call points. Looks like you're go to go on that score, but cleaning the stack is always a great idea prior to installing the screen.
