Looking for a rear suspension bushing recommendation
I've developed an annoying squeak in the driver side rear suspension that has to be fixed before the long trip to BG next month. Appears there are several aftermarket polyurethane bushing kits available. Looking for recommendations from those with experience on the best one to consider for decent ride quality and no squeaking.
Are the OEM rubber bushings still available from GM? Thanks, Phil |

Re: Looking for a rear suspension bushing recommendation
I'm interested in this. Just installed lowering bolts and bushings need replacement for springs and spindles.

Re: Looking for a rear suspension bushing recommendation
Here's what I just wrote in another thread... they cost $95 for a complete rear set. I'm very satisfied.
H "I just did the entire rear of the car in poly bushings when I installed my 4.10. I chose bushings from PST (Performance Suspension Technology), they are the only ones that advertise bushings impregnated with graphite to minimize squeeking. I used lots of the supplied grease in the assembly. So far the queeking has been very minimal. My front sway bar bushings were replaced 2 years ago when I put the 32mm bar in (they came with the bar). I had to lube them once a year to not have a squeek. I just now installed zirk fittings to make lubing easier. The ride is firmer than original, as would be expected. I would not say it's harsh, a bit more bouncy maybe. I find I actually turn the FX3 setting one level higher than before when driving around town. The roads here in SoCal are only a shade better than NY."

As for the sway bar ends, factory rubber was available from Corvette Central. 2 bushings that holds sway bar to the body, I got poly from Corvette Central. Jim with Jim Butler Chevrolet has been real helpful checking on factory parts and decent price. Run a search for Jim Butler Chev. and ask for Jim w/ parts. |

Re: Looking for a rear suspension bushing recommendation
Several years ago I replaced mine with the poly from DRM. I was happy with the price and the product at the time. Not sure how they compare today...
