Default clutch master cylinder reservior

This probably been disgust before..but i was unclear to what i could find. Myabe someone could tell me..before i make a big mess. What would cause the little clutch master cylinder reservoir to leak? I notice once a month i have to refill it. When empty i barely can get the gear to go in reverse. Is there an o-ring down there somewhere or is it leaking somewhere else?

thank you in advance,

You're not leaking out of the reservoir. It's leaking out of the slave or master.

Check up under the carpet of the floorboard at the firewall, if it's leaking at the slave, it will be leaking back into the cabin.

If it's leaking from the slave it will be in the bellhousing and leaking out the small hole in the bottom.

It's either the master or the slave cylinder depending on where the leak is.
Check under your driver footwell by the carpet, feel for a wet carpet, also look above and see if your foam is wet or dissolved. Report back your findings, regardless its about $80 fix and 1-2 hours of your time.

Just as jeff mention it will cause your carpet to stick to the floor board if its the master. Also check your fire wall. If its wet that's another sign its the master cylinder.
