Any feedback on which one is best? Mityvac? I saw one review that said the seals will fail with synthetic oils. Which model is best?

I can't comment on which is best, but I have a Mityvac and it works well. just make sure the oil is hot when you use it.

Another vote for the Mityvac here, I've used it with synthetic fluids for a few years now, with no problems.

I take it back, I thought it was a Mityvac, turns out it's a Motive Power Extractor 1708... same goes it works great.

I use a BIB pump.. I have the Shurflo brand but a Flojet will work too

I agree with JeffVette, the "vacuum can" type extractor works well for me.

This type uses compressed air to pull a vacuum on the container. A suction hose connected to the top of the container is used to suck up the liquid. When done, you remove a plug and pour the liquid out of the canister.

I use it for antifreeze (works well to suck all the water out of the coolant expansion tank so that you can pull the plenum).

I have used it for oil, differential oil, etc.

I even used it to clean out the pocket below the hood latch.

It is a little bit of cumbersome to store.

Just make sure to clean it after use, will last fine.
