Spoke to Jeffvette he said you would have to start pulling the electrical pins and swap them around to make the primary the secondary or run some patch cables around but would be probably easier to just swap the pump. He said there is also a procedure to jump wires next to the ecm to have both pump run at the same time. Not sure where that is although. He beleives the pump is the culprit as well. GC

What I think you are seeing is the primary is dead, the car ran for the first 5 minutes or so, because the secondary pump was running as well. Once it reaches temp, it shuts the secondary pump off, and will leave you stranded.

If you have some electrical pin tools, you can swap the power leads for the pumps in the back.

Thanks for the info, Jeff. I swapped the pumps already, and got better fuel pressure than I ever had before (when I first installed the pump/sender assembly new out of the box, I got around 40-41psi. I figured that was low, but the car seemed to run fine...

This time, with the pumps swapped, it ran up to just under 50psi, I heard the regulator bleed off a little pressure, and it settled in around 45psi.

Guess I need to fire off an email to the partsladi now.

Apparently, if you buy something from partsladi, save your boxes and receipts. These are both needed for warranty returns.

I can ship you my empty fuel pump box. Well it will be empty when I remove the pumpladi fuel pump out of it that is. Just send me your empty when it (replacement pump) returns. It came from the Ladi. Do you have the receipt?

They claim there's a barcode on the part that has to match each individual pump -- I'm calling BS on that, I don't see a barcode anywhere on the pump or sender assembly. I'm tempted to just buy the Suburban pumps elsewhere and be done with them. This assembly was made in China anyway, which made me a little leery when I installed it.

I suggest giving it a try. If you have the receipt the pump and the box I think they would be hard pressed to deny your replacement. You did buy it from them. They are just going to ship it back to the manufacture anyway. It not like we are trying to screw the vendor your just meeting their anal requirements in this case. I dont buy the barcode arguement either. PM me your Phone number

Can't find the receipt... I just moved a few months ago and I guess it got misplaced in all of that.
