Exclamation 1990 left beltline trim on rear bumper

I am looking for a 1990 left half beltline molding for a rear bumper, I have had this car setting in my shop since 1992, it has 206 miles (yes you read it right, 206) and had rear damage.

Been busy through the years with other cars, I have a rear bumper with the right half trim. Does any one out there have one?

Try posting this on the parts for sale/wanted section. I have two extra complete sets, but I don't want to sell just a piece and mine are used so I could not recommend them for a Z with only 200 miles.

Thanks, I am new to the registry and I don't really understand how to use it yet.

As for the beltline trim, what do you want for a set? I can make them look new again with the use of a freind that owns a Dr. Vinyl.

This 206 mile zr-1 is not a perfect car as it has been setting in a paint corvette parts and resto shop for 17 years, it was covered up but still has dust on the motor and suffered quite a bit of dammage. I mainly kept it because it had low mileage.

The right half piece I have is in the plastic gm package and has never been opened. I thought I had the left, but can not find it anywhere.

If I can't find one I will either salvage this car for parts, or I will stuff the motor into a newer convertible I have and put newer moldings on the bumper. Do you have 91-95 rear zr-1 moldings. Does a zr-1 convertible sound interesting?

I can PM you about the sets I have; hopefully you will find the new NOS you had for the left. It is too bad your 206 mile ZR-1 is not in the condition as expected, but I am sure it will be nice when you are done with it.

I don't have 91-95 rear moldings and I sold the set I had last year. I actually have 3 sets for the 90 after looking and they are pretty good, just not new. A ZR-1 convertible sounds good, but it really should not be considered that and more a convertible with an LT5 engine; I don't think it would be worth the conversion, but it would be unique. As long as you don't throw ZR-1 badges on it....lol....we don't like posers.

Thanks for any help finding this piece, I have salvaged several zr-1s through the years and at the time I thought there would never be a shortage of parts.

Back in the early 90's I helped a friend stuff all the zr-1 parts out of a wrecked zr-1 into his 90 convertible including the engine/trans, harness, wider doors and grafted the wider rear on to hold the bumper and cover the wider tires.

I was just thinking about doing it again, and this time documenting how I did it. It looked really cool with that wide rear end on a convertible.

Yes, that would be cool. I only one I heard of was the DR-1 Convertible:
