Here is my thread. I run it down along the front D/S and into the nose of the car.

Jeff,

I'll try to take a close up pic of it later, but the braided lines I used are just for looks and I used and male/male plastic connector to plug into the hose with clamp/hose cover and pushed it into the factory connector with the two openings (front one).

Lee,

The catch can is on my list, so I've been keeping an eye out for one for a while. I found a buncha different oil catch cans over at "Winner's Circle" in Joliet. And, you can get the braided hoses, or the (bling) braiding to cover your standard hoses, and all sorts of connector options. WC is the best "speed shop" I've found so far.

I am wondering if you could use an AC dryer can bracket off an L98 to install a catch can in the nose, would look fairly stock. I notice Volvo also makes an oil seperation system for their cars.

Goes right back into the oil:

Older Volvos run this seperator box, with a flaime trap.

So I've a question. Is the intent to catch the oil, and add it back to the engine? Or just to catch the oil? I've noticed some of you mentioning adding scotch-brite or steel wool pads into the can to help it catch oil. I assume if you do that, you simply discard anything it catches?

It seemed to me if that was where most of the oil consumption comes from, it might be nice to add it back and not have to always be checking the oil level (once you've established it doesn't drop at a regular rate). However, if that's not the majority of the consumption, I guess it doesn't really matter, you're adding fresh oil somewhat regularly either way.
