Default New annual section!

Starting on Jan 1st of every year for the entire month, the moderator(I guess that would be you Gold Cylon) should have a section called "MOST REPAIRS DONE IN ONE YEAR." Not repairs you paid somebody to do! But repairs you did yourself. The blood sweat and tears. The bloody knuckles and all the GoJo you went through. And members can pitch in and buy the winner a free lap dance at the gentlemens club of his choice I think I would be the winner in 2008. Lets run down the list shall we.
1. Chase down the cause of code 61. Bad actuator and vacuum solenoid.
2. Replace both right & left side exhaust manifolds do to bad cats.(That is a bloody knuckle one for sure)
3. Remove and install new clutch kit do to broken throw out bearing.
4. Replace serpentine belt.
5. Replace oil pressure sensor.
6. Replace all six U-joints.
7. Replace rear mono leaf spring.
8. Replace drivers side upper A-arm.
9. And last but not least another clutch slave cylinder I am waiting to recieve some time around wednesday.
Car Vin#1G1YZ23J6L5801931 has kept me very busy over the last year. It's kinda like having a high maintenance girlfreind thats mean to me but gives me good sex. There's a nice bottle of Ruffino Oro in the wine rack. I think I'll go get drunk now.

That's a cool idea. I nominate you, rhipsher, as them's some real knuckle /gut busting projects you went thru.

I would also like to humbly suggest another award category.....for those of us that don't own a garage(with a house attached to it), but rent garage space and are forbidden to do repair work in said space via the rental contract......ahh, that would be me........my particular speciality is "stealth midnite auto repair".....I start after midnite and have to leave no trace by 4AM. We could call the award the "Mentally mal-adjusted award", as I proly need some couch time for my brain to be tuned up.

My association has a rule against auto repair also, however I explained nicely that it was my hobby, and if I couldn't partake in my hobby I would have to find a new one. I explained that my backup hobby would be sunbathing in my driveway and as I tend to go all out with my hobbies, I would need to sport a thong.....in addition I explained that I tend to be alittle restless so I would need to combine my sunbathing with an activity. I like money and finding things so I explained that I would probably drop rolls of quarters in my drive and spend all day picking them up in my thong....and with my bad hip I cannot easily bend at the knees.....I think you get the picture....needless to say everyone likes my hobby and no one complains.

Better yet would be to tell em that -- Twice removed cousin Billy-Bob from down south was going to have an extended stay at your house and this was hiz hobby with the quarters thing!

Byan,

That is an actual photo of me going up the stairs to the association meeting, wondering how you got the pic.

Threats are meaningless without a show of intent.
