Default Front end problem.

My Z feels like I'm driving in high gusts of wind. The front end is swaying from left to right at random and I notice my stick shift will move a bit if I shift hard in first and second gear. But it never felt this bad. I turned right back around and drove it home. I'm gonna check my C-beam plate to make sure it isnt loose. This wasn't gradual it just happend all of a sudden. Within the last 5 months my steering wheel would shake a little right around 67mph. Over or under that speed was fine. I'd like to get it figured out and fixed before the drag races this saturday. I guess its about time for something to go wrong with it. Its been a year since I replaced the clutch. Hopfully its just something loose in the front end.

rick , ck to see if some of the alignment shims may have popped out . its happened to me and that was the cause . you may also ck to see if you threw a wheel weight on the bouncing. when you go over a 100 sometimes they exit the wheel . also have you greased the upper and lower ball joints,as well as the 2 on the ti rod ends .

I think I found the culprit. The passenger side upper control arm bushing is wasted. That took all of about five minutes to find. I'm not gonna say thats all of it. But a contributing factor. Also I found my throttle cable cover way back behind the the pully's. There's no telling how long that things been back there.

I also experienced the shifter lifting under hard acceleration just after installing beam plates even though C beam bolts were torqued to proper specs. I suspect oil from a leaking transmission rear seal may have had something to do with it. During the seal repair I made sure the C beam mounting surfaces were absolutely clean then roughed up a bit by sandpaper. Put a little extra on the bolt torque during reassembly and haven't experienced any shifter lifting since then.
