The seatbelt light is tied directly in with the ingl rest light.

The change oil light, just need to follow the reset procedure.

BTW, are you sure you reset the airbag system properly?

Harold I had the same problem. I used the peocedure listed over at the NetRegistry site in the How To section under the Maintenance tab.

However I could not get the timing right. I ended up making a momentary switch rig that I plugged into the ALDL. I used the seconds flashing on my pager as a stop watch and the switch rig to ground and un-ground the ALDL pin. It worked first shot because I was better able to get the time interval correct to the FSM allowed elapsed time between grounding and un-grounding the ALDL pins.

I humbly suggest using a door bell push button switch. I went to radio shack and bought a momentary switch, but it was an "always on" type which made it a bit confusing for me.....what a dope!.......a door bell will be a completed circuit when you push it, and I think it will be easier to use.

Use phone wire, ya know the std four wire stuff as it fits into the ALDL pins very nicely. I used the battery negative as my ground via an allagator clip, although you could use the seat track bolts. Just make sure you do the cleaning and di-electric grease and star washer on both sensors first. Also you may want to check the sensor connectors for corosion, but that maybe a long shot. I checked both of mine just to be sure. The left connector is above the foot rest and the right one is under the carpet under the glove box.

Hope this helps to get your issue sorted out. I tried forever using the paper clip and was never able to get it done. I made the switch rig, and presto....no INFLREST and Seatbelt lights!
