I must be missing something here TT help me out on this one.

Can you really make more $$ by parting out a never hit 66K ZR-1?

I presume it is in average shape and running OK.

If you factor in all the labor to remove all the parts is it really a good trade off?

Perhaps if someone was really hurting for the $$ and had it quite low on price for the longest of time and still no takers --- for the sake of speeding things up --- well maybe then???

Seems like such a shame to part a 66K ZR-1.

When I asked about that he said the car needed paint but was running with no aparent problems. The guy selling parts out stuff (mainly corvette and some truck stuff) at most major east coast swap meets. Car was for sale but everybody loballed the seller who decided to just sell it so it could be parted out. Some items are going pretty high.

Working original 90-91 ECMs $350 if you can find them
DIS modules $750
moulding strips not obtainable
interrier small items not obtainable.
Actuators ??
Shocks
Motor complete 6k
thermo housing ??

I help run a vette event in January (NCRS Winter Regional) that has 150+ vette vendors and he has been coming for about 15 years and I always take care of him. He sometimes gets unusual ZR-1 stuff so I always check. He alerted me to the SPO disposition of ZR 1 stuff some years ago. When I asked through some other channels it caused a stur and stuff ended up being taken off regular channel disposal.

Ask around, if you can get a no hit running complete car for less than about $13 you can make some money by parting it out.

Tyler
