Where is a good source to buy the entire secondary vacuum hose assembly and a vacuum solenoid, both of which are leaking in my ZR-1?
The assembly is leaking where the rubber ends join the ports. Any ideas as to why this is such a common affliction with the 90s ZR-1s? Would appreciate suggestions on possible repairs to these parts. Thanks. Chris |

Chris, I just replied to your email. I wouldn't say it's a common affliction. But due to the most cars being built in 90, more people actively driving them, and the fact they are now 20 years old are all contributing factors.

Solenoid is available at the dealer, you will need the filter too. They don't make the ones like ours anymore.
Solenoid # 1997222 Filter # 1977796 Hoses are probably going to have to come from Kurt White. |

Chris, What you are talking about is the secondary vacuum "spider." You're much better off trying to find and fix the individual leaks if they are not under the plenum. Maybe a wisp of silicone or epoxy. As is typical, GM doesn't make replacement spiders any longer, though a good number of the connectors are still available at parts stores and large online parts warehouses.
