Default Atomic Z

After sorting out months of issues trying to get my car tuned properly for various driving situations, it is finally finished. The past Wednesday it was ran at the track and will be home in Nebraska a week from today.

Want to share a few of the runs with you guys, knowing that some of you are at banned camp from that other site.

These are youtube videos

first pass was 11.31 @ 128

second pass: 11.24 @ 127.95

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x64Ehie7p8w

third pass: 12.24 @ 136 (first pass on nitrous, 125 shot and red lighting) Sat at the start line hence the bad ET, also notice the shift to fifth at the end of the quarter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vehe7ndWlYM

fourth pass: also on nitrous, car gets out of the groove and Mike has to get out of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkgS3ljAvOg

fifth and final pass 11.01 @ 128 motor only after about loosing it on the last pass.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV-mc2uC-9I

Overall I am very pleased. The car has a 10 second pass in it on motor and should go deep into the 10's on the spray with better traction.

few random thoughts:
car looks great
someone needs to learn how to work a camera
does your car have the c-beam plates installed?
is it possible that the tires just needed more heat in them for better grip?

on the one pass the person running the camera looked up because he thought the car was going into the guard rail

C beam plates installed...need new tires and the track was slick.

thanks!

hhmmm, interesting. i'm sure it wasn't a lot of fun putting that in. i've got a certified cage in my Stingray, tunnel back window, & that was plain ugly to do, looks o.k./pretty good now that it's done but i wouldn't be in a hurry to do it again. just no room in those things.

Very Cool.. why does the track look wet??? I understand wet in/near the burnout box.. but the reflections of the light make the track look wet
