This is about the worst time to sell as far as getting a decent price because the entire used car market is in the tank. In the not too distant future it will turn around so hopefully you can hang on until then.
As a marketing/selling suggestion you could make it OBO rather than list the price as FIRM. I know you don't want low ballers but maybe raise the price a $1k with a obo and who knows you may get an offer close to what you are asking now. I hope you are able to keep your KOTH but if not good luck on the sale. ![]() |

See what happens but honestly things are on the wire so something has to give.
When I had it priced higher OBO I got a lot of hatemail and insults through the other forum and Craigslist. ![]() This thing seems like it needs to be seen in person. Most dont know much about them or the durability so common scenario is a lot of interest when its out until they ask how many miles are on it but that is to be expected. I may as well have blown a can of Bean-O out of the chute they run away so fast. ![]() Last edited by cuisinartvette; 08-14-2008 at 07:23 PM. |

That is a good idea, so bring it to a show or two. I know there are plenty of cars for sale at a weekly show down here so try and find one locally. Once you explain what the ZR-1 and LT5 are you might get a bite.

Thanks Hammer. I have heard all the negatives about the Bay but why not.
I cannot believe yours hasnt sold, yours is one of the best deals around. Have a lot of other parts to sell so if this works out Ill be a regular there. I gotta say selling this thing really really bugs me. Ive had a lot of cool HotRods but nothing quite like this car, it does a little bit of everyting very good. With 2 200+lb people in it the car will still try and break em loose at 4k. For a stock car I think thats impressive. |

The biggest problem with Ebay is people are looking to buy something for nothing. As we know, these cars are not going to sell for nothing. I myself will not give my "old" car away. I will just make the payments and I'm thinking the price will go up to compensate for that. Low Book on my car is $18,425 stock, and it's not a Low Book car by any means.
Again, good luck with your sale Ron. |
